CAN I GET THE LOOK THAT THE MODEL HAS ON THE PHOTOS?
This is photos you find online or advertisements. This all depends on your eye shape, size, and the amount of lashes that you have compared to the model. Understand that your lashes may not look like their lashes. I do my best to give you a desired look or similar. I will do an evaluation of your lashes and we will talk about the style you like.
CAN I WEAR MAKEUP/MASCARA WITH EXTENSIONS?
You can wear make up. I encourage you to use oil free products. You do not want anything to affect the adhesive of the extensions. You can wear makeup that is oil free and safe for eyelash extensions. It is best to use daily cleanser that has make up remover in it. Mascara can clog the base of your eyelash causing pain and swelling. The extensions are dark and give a look of mascara that is naturally beautiful.
DOES EYELASH EXTENSIONS HURT?
The extensions should not hurt. The eye is protected with tape and gel cushioned pads that protect you from feeling the tools being used. If your tape or any part of the process is uncomfortable always let me know.
DO EYELASH EXTENSIONS DAMAGE MY NATURAL LASH?
When applied correctly the extensions are applied by placing one lash extension to your natural lash. The lashes applied should be the correct length and weight for your natural lashes. Getting a consultation prior to the application process can help with knowing what extensions are best for you. Too much adhesive or too heavy of a lash can damage your lashes. Pulling, tugging, picking, and heat at the extensions can cause damage.
HOW LONG DOES THE APPLICATION PROCESS TAKE?
Depending on the type of lashes you decide to get applied can take different times(classic, volume, etc). It also depends on what service you are receiving (full set, fill, etc.). The process can take anywhere from 90 to 240 minutes. Being able to lay on your back that long is important to the application(pillows and blankets are provided for comfort).
HOW LONG DOES THE EXTENSIONS LAST?
The extensions last anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks. Following the aftercare routine keeps your extensions clean and looking fresh. However, your natural lashes will shed. You will lose anywhere from 1 to 4 lashes a day. It is best to get a fill at the recommend time of 2 to 3 weeks. I encourage you to make an appointment before leaving.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE CONSULTATION?
At that appointment, I will do a evaluation of your natural lashes to see the best lash extensions for you(or if you are a candidate). We will talk to find out the look you are going for. We can go over your consents, aftercare, allergies(all intake paperwork) at that time or once your first appointment is scheduled. This can be time consuming so it best to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment. Please understand that if you are under the age of 18, a parent/guardian must be present to complete the forms for you.
I JUST HAD MY EYELASHES DONE WHY ARE MY EYES RED?
Some clients have allergies and seasonal allergies that can affect the eyes. Some clients may have an allergy to cyanoacrylate. This is an ingredient in the lash adhesive that can cause redness, irritation, and swelling. Side affects include bloodshot eyes, burning, itching, pain, rash, redness and inflammation of the eye or eyelid, and swelling. I will inspect your eyes prior to starting the application. If you have redness, crusty, or cuts near the eye I will cancel you until your eyes are clear. Those clients with itchy and dry eyes from allergies I suggest taking an over the counter antihistamine or Benadryl prior to appointment. During the procedure it is important to keep your eyes closed all the way. Your eyes half open can cause burns (from the vapor) to the eye from the adhesive. I would suggest using saline eye drops and contact me right away.
I JUST HAD MY EYELASHES LIFTED/PERMED CAN I GET EXTENSIONS?
